How Celebrities Lose Weight And Stay In Shape

How Celebrities Lose Weight And Stay In Shape
This article is going to explain how celebrity stars always
seem to look in great shape, and reveal some of their
secrets to losing weight.

Haven't you noticed that whenever you watch TV or go to the
cinema how great the stars of the show or film look? Well,
in case you didn't know already, they have to do a lot of
work to stay that way, and of course if they slow down, the
public will notice immediately and their reputation could
be destroyed overnight.

Most celebrities have their own way of staying in shape and
looking great. Some have fitness experts to keep them
motivated and in shape, and many eat well balanced diets.

Below are some secret diet tips that some women stars use
to keep in shape.

Some use the 40:30:30 diet. The 40 being fruits, vegetables
and beans. 30 being fish, chicken and low fat dairy
products. The last 30 being fish oils, olive oils, nuts
etc.Combining these foods into your diet will help you to
lose weight and keep in shape.

Another diet used by some women in Hollywood, is to eat
high protein meals in lesser portions. This must be used in
conjunction with an exercise program that consists of
weight training and heart exercises. Using such a diet can
put a lot of stress on your body so please be aware.

Many women stars tell you that not eating late at night, or
early in the evening will help to keep your weight under
control. This actually contradicts what many nutritionists
believe but nevertheless it seems to work for them.

Yoga is something many top women stars do each day. Combine
this with a balanced diet of fruits and vegetables will
help you control your weight.

Eating organic foods with lean protein and avoiding junk
foods is an essential part of many stars diets.

Drinking herbal teas is very popular with women stars.
Green Tea is of course the most powerful drink to help you
lose weight and give you energy.

Basically these stars do not over-indulge in junk foods and
never over eat. Taking care of their bodies is vital for
their careers and if you took the same attitude toward your
body, you can easily get the same results as these women do.

When you see something that many stars personally take each
day as a part of their diet, then it really is time to sit
up and take notice. One such product is now becoming very
popular with many stars like Amanda Walsh, Beau Bridges,
Cheryl Hines, Paula Abdul, Kate Burton, Kevin Dillon and
many more is Cheia Vida.

This exotic Rain Forest formulation consisting of
"Superfoods" is now becoming a part of thousands of
people's lives across the USA. With Acai, Green Tea, Cha De
Bugre and Yerba Mae all ingredients within this product, it
truly is a powerful health beverage.

There are of course many different products available to
help you in your search for a better shape. Do some
research and find products that not only help you lose
weight, but also assist with improving your health.

So, if you want to diet like the stars, take heed from the
advice above and most importantly, take action.

Create a Beauty Schedule to compliment your Training schedule

Create a Beauty Schedule to compliment your Training schedule
You've done thousands of push-ups, lifted hundreds of
pounds and drank more Protein Shakes than online retailers
can ship to your door! You schedule time for weight
training, time for cardio and time for routine practice.
Have you scheduled time to develop your personal beauty, as
well? Beauty is a key component to judge's scoring for many
fitness shows. Follow this simple schedule (see chart
below) to help groom you for the beauty segment of your
next fitness competition.

Skin

Create a beauty routine for your face and body. Like weight
training, consistency is the key to clean, healthy skin!
Your Face Routine should consist of two basic practices -
Cleansing and Moisturizing. Cleanse daily (meaning EVERY
DAY) once in the AM when you wake up and once in the PM
before you go to bed. Wash with a cleanser formulated for
your skin - for dry skin, try a creamy cleanser and for
oily skin, try a foam cleanser. If your skin is prone to
blemishes (acne, whiteheads, blackheads, etc.) try a
cleanser containing salicylic acid. Moisturize daily after
you cleanse - in the AM, try a lighter weight moisturizer
and in the PM, try a nighttime formula for extra moisture.
Once a week, schedule time to complete a facial mask or
peel to draw imbedded impurities to the surface for clearer
skin, faster!

Your Body

Routine should be complimentary to your skin routine -
cleanse and moisturize daily. Once a week, schedule time
for exfoliation. Exfoliation is the process of removing dry
skin cells from the surface of your skin. The result is
fresh glowing skin! A good body scrub with small granules
and oil-free ingredients will work wonders to slough off
dead skin and give your skin a healthy glow on stage!

Teeth a bright, beautiful smile radiates confidence and
exhibits beauty to any judge! Brush teeth daily 2-3 times a
day - when you wake up, after lunch and before you go to
bed. Use toothpaste with fluoride and whitening ingredients
and brush for at least 1-2 minutes. Try timing yourself
when you brush to get an idea of how long to brush. Floss
1x everyday after brushing. Flossing removes plaque buildup
and keeps gums healthy. To remove plaque and bacteria from
hard to reach areas around your teeth, finish your brushing
and flossing routine with a mouth rinse. 2-4 weeks out
before a competition, schedule in teeth whitening every
other evening using teeth whitening strips to whiten and
brighten your smile for the judges.

Hair dull, dried-out hair stands out on stage and makes
even the best fitness competitors look unhealthy and
unattractive. On a daily basis, wash and condition hair
with a formula that is made for your hair type. Limit the
use of heat-styling tools. For example, blow dry hair on
high heat only until hair is damp then switch to a cooler
setting. Or substitute Velcro rollers for hot rollers and
curling irons. On a weekly basis, use a deep conditioner,
wrap hair in plastic wrap and leave on for a minimum of 15
minutes for extra moisture and shine. Schedule a haircut
every 6-8 weeks to keep hair neat and shapely. By booking
haircuts in advance, you are more likely to stay on
schedule and maintain a consistent, healthy head of hair!

To recap, a well-planned beauty schedule carried out
consistently while training is essential to preparing for
any fitness show. While many of these beauty concepts may
seem basic or second nature to many people, they are often
the first areas to suffer when time is short or runs out.
As a show approaches, it becomes even more difficult to
find time to finalize preparations. By maintaining a
consistent beauty schedule, you will find yourself with one
less judging criteria to worry about when it comes time for
the show!

The Psychology of Men Who Undergo Plastic Surgery

The Psychology of Men Who Undergo Plastic Surgery
While it is true that the overall number of plastic surgery
procedures performed in the past few years is up, and the
number of men as a percentage of this total is increased,
women still far outnumber male patients by about 10:1 for
most practices. While male plastic surgery procedures are
somewhat different from woman's, their motivations for
undergoing plastic surgery are also different.

While both men and women undergo plastic surgery to look
physically better, you have to dig beyond this obvious
level to understand what their true motivations are. The
desired physical concerns or desired changes are just a
reflection of their unspoken concerns. As a general
statement, most women's motivations for plastic surgery are
true self-image issues. They want to fell better about
themselves. Correcting a physical flaw is one approach to
self-improvement. (and perhaps the easiest?) Whether it is
to have a breast augmentation to look better in clothes or
to have a facelift to not look old, women seem to be much
more concerned about doing the surgery truly for
themselves. I hear this over and over...'my husband doesn't
think I need it...or...'my friends say I look fine'. But
yet, women want to have the surgery anyway...becasue they
want to fell better about themselves. Men, conversely,
often undergo plastic surgery because they want things.
Whether it be to have more women, sex, money or power...it
most always deep down is motivated by a desire for external
or more tangible things. As a plastic surgerycorollary to
'Men are Venus, Women are from Mars'...Women do things for
themselves, Men usually do things for somebody else. or
other external raesons.

Men undergoing plastic surgery also are different from
women in other ways as well. They usually are not
interested in complex procedures that involve any
significant recovery, they are usually less compliant than
women and follow postoperative instructions poorly, their
response and tolerance to pain is often more pronounced,
and they often are more critical of the results. (or they
are at least more vocal) Much of this has to do with the
general greater impatience of men who want to get to the
final result quickly...and usually more discretely. This is
why smaller more subtle procedures for men are often
better, even if the result is not as significant. Men get
no accolades, and certainly little support, in society for
suffering through a plastic surgery recovery. And the aging
of men is generally better accepted in all societies.
Women, conversely, garner more empathy if they are
suffering to look more 'beautiful'. In fact, our society
expects them to do so.

The handling of the male plastic surgery patient, I have
found, is quite different from a female patient. And not
all plastic surgeons can work well with men. They often
require more time and patience than most female patients.
And the demands of the younger male patient are higher than
that of an older man. The young 'narcisistic' male patient
can be the most demanding and the most likely to require
revisional surgery to achieve a mutually satisfactory
result.

Liquid Vitamins Are Nutrition for Your Body

Liquid Vitamins Are Nutrition for Your Body
First, liquid vitamins are easier for the body to digest
and absorb than hard pills. Liquid vitamins are the
foundation of any fitness plan. When choosing your
nutritional supplement, liquid vitamins are definitely the
way to go for maximum absorption. Herbal extracts and
liquid vitamins are concentrated, easily digested,
convenient and cost effective. A chief selling point is
the claim that liquid vitamins are better absorbed by the
body because large, hard pills may pass through the
digestive tract and be excreted intact. The main reason
why liquid vitamins are more effective than pills and
tablets is due to the nature of their liquid base. Unlike
vitamins in pill form, which are usually synthetic, liquid
vitamins are commonly derived from plants, and they very
often contain far more trace elements and minerals, which
are required by the body only in very small amounts, but
which are very difficult to get from foods or vitamin
supplements in pill form.

We try to eat healthy, and maintain a good diet, but the
truth is that it still isn't good enough. The fast paced
world we live in and the desire to eat unhealthy food is at
an all time high. We know that replenishing the body's
mineral supply is essential for vibrant health. Most
people, healthy or not, STILL don't get the proper
nutrition they need to stay healthy. Everyone knows it's
important to take daily vitamins and minerals to keep your
body healthy. Liquid vitamin supplementation of liquid
vitamin nutrition is the secret to protecting you and your
family against disease, staying healthy and looking and
feeling youthful. Having a healthy immune system is
important for anybody, and simply ensuring a low level of
basic vitamin intake can help bolster your immune system
and better allow you to resist diseases and fight
infections. Vitamins act as powerful preventative measures
against disease and the aging process, not to mention their
critical role in healthy living.

Liquid Vitamins are also available combined with other
nutrients that make them a versatile source of nutrition.
In reality, most of us fall short of these health goals
resulting in an unhealthy diet often critically lacking in
even the basic nutrients required to sustain proper health.
As the human body ages, it processes vitamins slower, the
production of basic nutrients stall and supplementation
becomes even more critical, especially given the fact that
the diets of seniors frequently lack basic vitamin levels
in the first place. For proper health, you need to take a
multi-nutrient formula that contains nutrients, vitamins,
minerals, antioxidants, whole food extracts, plant enzymes,
and herbal extracts all in a single easy to take dose
instead. With pills or chewable vitamins, the majority of
the nutrients and minerals that are contained in the
vitamins aren't normally broken down in the digestive
system. With these types of vitamins being in hard form,
they are harder for the body to pass at the most crucial
moments, where the body needs to have nutrients and
minerals.

Natural vitamins, on the other hand, are slightly more
expensive but offer in some cases work hundreds of times
better. Natural vitamins in a liquid form means a lesser
amount of ingredients are needed to achieve the same
results and is the most efficient and healthiest way to
balanced nutrition. With so many vitamin products on the
market today boasting their formulas are the best, no other
vitamin product comes close to the vast array of extremely
bio-available, naturally occurring nutrients in our Pro
Vitamin Complete. Increased energy levels Decreased stress
levels B-complex helps increase energy levels, naturally No
stimulants. Your supplements should be as 'natural' as
possible for better absorption and nutritional potency.

The Issue at hand with today's health and improper balance
of vitamins and minerals: In the 1960's, Professor Linus
Pauling, winner of two Nobel Prizes, proved that over 60
diseases can be traced to mineral deficiencies alone. Many
people don't eat a healthy well-balanced diet all the time.
Only the right vitamin supplements along with balanced
dietary habits are acceptable standards for healthy living.
Your body has the tremendous capacity to heal itself and
bring itself back into balance. In order to live life to
the fullest we need to do that with a healthy heart and
mind. To be able to do this, we all need to take a high
quality liquid vitamin for optimum health and enjoyment of
life.

Double Your Exercise Results in Half the Time

Double Your Exercise Results in Half the Time
If you've been struggling with losing weight, burning fat
and building lean, sleek, powerful muscle then pay close
attention... because I'm about to fill you in on why
traditional long, slow cardio is NOT the answer.

What I'm about to tell you may go against everything you've
learned about fat burning. But, if you're willing to open
your mind and think outside the box, it might just be the
most important information you've ever read.

The truth that there is a better way to exercise. It's the
way sprinters and other high level athletes have done for
years. It does not involve hours of grueling time on a
treadmill or miles and miles of distance on the road. It
does give you results in as little as a few minutes of
exercise per day.

Sprinters (and most other athletes) train primarily their
anaerobic energy system... using the energy stored in their
muscles to fuel short bursts of high intensity exercise.
This type of exercise will give you more "bang for the
buck" because it is the most effective way to burn fat and
calories while also building lean, functional muscle.

These are benefits that low intensity, high volume cardio
just won't give you.

High intensity allows you to "double dip" during your
workouts.

First, as a fat burner, this type of exercise is hard to
beat. That's because raising the intensity of your
exercise results in your body burning huge amounts of
calories. The demands placed on your body in quick short
bursts of exercise require a lot of energy. Training like
a sprinter will burn more fat due to these high energy
demands (and, according to one study, may even teach your
body to burn fat first).

Not only that, but your body will keep burning calories
long after your workout. One study showed that doing high
energy exercises every other day could lead to an extra 2
pounds per month (or more) of fat loss, just from the rise
in metabolism and extra calories burned. Do the math '
that adds up to an extra 20 plus pounds of fat burned per
year due to this post-workout metabolic effect.

And better yet, according to a report released by the
American Diabetes Association, high intensity exercise is
the best way to burn the fat around your middle (a.k.a.
belly fat), one of the most difficult places to melt off
the flab. Low intensity, high volume cardio will not give
you the same effects.

But, high intensity exercise doesn't just burn fat. The
second "dip" in your workout will result in building lean,
powerful muscle as well. Because, let's face it, losing
fat is only half the battle. If you want to look good (and
feel better about yourself), it's equally as important to
tone and firm the muscles in your abs, arms, thighs, hips
and backside. Just losing the fat, may result in looking
saggy and "poochy". Defining your muscles through high
intensity exercise can take care of a lot of that and make
you proud of the way you look.

High intensity exercise like interval training builds
muscle by putting you through full body, ground-based
movements. Making your muscles work together as a
functional unit. Just the ticket to raise your natural HGH
levels and make your muscles look and feel young again.

Long, slow cardio may actually have the opposite effect...
shrinking your muscles to make your body more efficient for
the long haul. Upping the intensity of your workouts will
burn more calories and fat than tired old cardio. And, in
a 2 for 1 bonus, it will also help you build strong, sexy
muscle at the same time. (Not to mention that most high
intensity workouts can be done in just a few minutes ' much
less than the 30 minutes to an hour you've been trying to
do on the cardio machines).

Losing a couple pounds of fat or adding a few pounds of
muscle will make you look and feel good. Doing both with
high intensity training can make things GREAT instead.

So, you have a choice my friend. Stick with traditional
cardio in the "fat burning zone" and see minimal results.
Or, try something different and up the intensity of your
workouts to get into the best shape of your life. After
just a few sessions, you'll see and feel the difference.

Herbal Body Wraps - look good and detoxify your body in the privacy of your home

Herbal Body Wraps - look good and detoxify your body in the privacy of your home
If you smoke, drink, are prone to recreational drugs, drink
coffee, or participate in any other recreational or hobby
activities that lead to toxins in the body. These body
wraps can be sold in boutiques and administered in spas,
and they are a great way to lose weight and remove nasty
toxins from the body that you never thought you would be
able to flush out. Even salt and sugar can work against the
fluid processes of the body and need detoxification.
Everyday life can be a bit of a poison if you really think
about it; even the air that you breathe can bring
contaminants into your body that you want out.

You may not think that you care much about detoxifying your
body. Salt and sugar are going to be present in the body
anyway, right? That is the truth, but the difference is
that you can do something about it. Salt and sugar can
prevent you from losing weight the way that you want to by
causing you to retain water, and body wraps can extract
those nasties from your system and make things run more
efficiently.

Toxins prevent the body from being able to work as
efficiently as it normally would because valuable energy is
spent processing and expelling salt, sugar, caffeine, or
other toxins from the body. When your energy is being spent
on processing these unnecessary elements in the body it
cannot properly focus on metabolizing your food properly.
This is one thing that people fail to realize, and one
reason why weight loss can be so easily spurred with the
use of detoxifying body wraps.

Where Can I Get a Good Body Wrap?

If you really want to get a good body wrap that will have
some good results, you should check out one of the local
day spas in your community. A good detoxifying body wrap in
one of your local spas should cost somewhere in the
neighborhood of $100 to $200 or more, depending on the spa
that you are checking out. In most cases, any service at a
day spa entitles you to a full day using their facilities
and that is why the use of a day spa is so recommended over
ordering them and using them at home. Not only will they be
administered more correctly if you go to a spa, but
ordering them costs around the same price and you don't get
the rest of the relaxation benefits that the other spa
services entail.

How Often is a Detoxifying Body Wrap Needed?

Depending on how many toxins you feel that you have in your
body and your need to cleanse, detoxifying body wraps can
be a one shot deal or something that you do on a regular
basis. IT is very enjoyable and leads to better looks for
many men and women, as efficiently processed toxins and
better working bodily processes leads to clearer skin,
brighter eyes, more brilliant smiles, healthier hair, and
just overall better looks.

Some people are known to get as many as two to three
detoxifying body wrap treatments in a day. Other people go
as frequently as two to three times per week to get the
detoxification they need, but a cleansing of lifestyle
choices is also encouraged for those who attend cleansing
body wraps that frequently. Body wraps are not a good
substitute for a healthier lifestyle and better choices,
and it is necessary to keep that in mind at all times.

Buy Detoxifying Body Wraps for Home Use

If you like the convenience of detoxifying body wraps but
you are not able to make use of a spa wrap as often as you
would like, it may help to coordinate spa style body wraps
with home use detoxifying wraps. These are the kind that
you have to administer on yourself and are good for people
who are least somewhat familiar with how the detoxifying
spa body wraps work. They can be done in the convenience of
your home at those times when you need something a bit more
refreshing than usual.

Detoxifying wraps are one of those things that not
everybody will be able to get into, but many will. Those
who are exploring holistic options for curing sickness and
strengthening the immune system will love what these wraps
bring to their health, and make people feel so much better
and even thinner after just one use.

Weight Regain From Weight Loss Surgery

Weight Regain From Weight Loss Surgery
If you're thinking of having weight loss surgery or you
already have, the work isn't over after the surgery. It
has actually only begun. Many people think it is the "easy
way out" which is untrue. It is one way to lose weight but
it is hardly the easy way out.

When having weight loss surgery, you commit yourself to
certain nutrition and dietary requirements. You become
dedicated to a healthy lifestyle with habits that support
your weight loss. Weight loss surgery is a tool to use but
you must choose to use that tool.

After the early post-operative stage, you can regain weight
or stall at a weight before your desired goal. Some of the
reasons are familiar to many of us. To maximize your
weight loss surgery success, here are some unhealthy
behaviors to avoid:

* Testing old habits. Once we've had surgery and lost
weight, we look good and we feel good. We think that
maybe, just maybe, we can return to some of our old habits.
We test once, twice, and before you know it, that old
habit has crept into our lives again. The result can be
weight regain or a weight loss stall. If you return to the
old habits that made you heavy in the first place, you'll
run the risk of becoming heavy again. Creating new healthy
habits that replace the old habits is a big step to ensure
your weight loss success is permanent.

* Grazing. This is probably the number 1 cause of weight
regain from bariatric surgery. After you've had surgery,
you can out eat the procedure. Grazing is the mindless
eating, hand to mouth eating. It is nibbling a little bit
for long periods of time. You aren't full but continually
eating. Grazing is for cows on a pasture, not successful
bariatric post-ops.

* I'm cured syndrome. You're not. Weight loss surgery
does not provide protection for never gaining weight again.
Weight loss surgery doesn't give you a permanent state of
goal weight and maintenance. Keeping your weight loss and
the habits that allow you to lose weight reflect the
choices you make every day. Don't get into a false sense
of security that you can eat whatever you'd like and keep
your weight off from surgery.

* Stop exercising. Once you've lost your weight, you're
done, right? No. The habit of exercising allowed you to
lose weight and it continues to allow you to maintain your
weight loss. The exercise that you did to become
successful, will continue your success.

Weight loss surgery is a wonderful tool for losing weight,
weight maintenance, and gives those of us that were
morbidly obese a second chance at regaining our health.
You can have a beautiful, expensive hammer that sits in
your toolbox. Your impressive hammer doesn't do much on
its own without you using it. The same applies to weight
loss surgery. It is a very effective tool when we choose
to use it in our lifestyle changes and choices.

Success with weight loss surgery is very possible for the
short-term and long-term. Weight loss surgery doesn't
guarantee success; you guarantee your success through your
choices and healthy lifestyle. Enjoy your success, you've
earned it.

Getting More from Your Workout with Meditation

Getting More from Your Workout with Meditation
Today I want to give you a specific meditation. This
mediation will help you in your overall life, and it will
especially help you get optimal results from your exercise
regimen.

Here tis:

1. Find a quiet place to lie down.

2. Close your eyes and start to breathe deeply from your
diaphragm. Concentrate on your belly moving up when you
breathe in and down when you breathe out.

Concentrate on this for 1-2 minutes...you'll feel very
relaxed and not have a care in the world if you're truly
concentrating.

3. Now, think of the body you desire. Craft it in your
mind's eye.

- What will your abs look like? Toned, ripped, etc.

- What will your shoulders and arms look like? Defined,
ripped, etc.

- What will your thighs and glutes look like? Firm,
toned, etc.

- What feelings do you get from this? Pride, excitement,
happiness, etc.

Really paint the picture in your mind's eye of what you
look like and how you feel.

4. Make the picture you painted bigger and brighter.
Imagine it becoming clearer as it grows, NOT pixilated,
CLEAR. Continue to breathe deeply as you picture this.

5. Finally, as your picture becomes brighter, bigger, and
clearer put a smile on your face and get the feeling inside
your body of how you felt on Christmas morning as a child.

This feeling should create a smile on your face. It should
feel natural and not forced. This feeling should also make
you smile in your gut and down to your toes.

Try this meditation and let me know how you feel
afterwards. This meditation is easy to do and should only
take you 5-10 minutes depending on how into it you get.

Playing motivational music in the background will help you
get into this even more. Be careful though...too much
mediation that leaves you feeling like this will bring on
results faster than you think. Be careful what you wish
for (and imagine).

Do this meditation at least once a day and record how you
feel in your journal. How you feel afterwards is extremely
important. Write this down and see if you accomplish your
goals faster.

NOTE: If you don't achieve your goals faster with this
meditation I bet you're not consistent with doing this on a

Protect Your Skin With Proactive Skin Care

Protect Your Skin With Proactive Skin Care
Blemish free, clear and healthy skin is a wish of everyone
but only few are part of this wish. However, you can be a
part of this wish too with proactive skin care. Proactive
skin care means protecting and healing your skin for
blemishes and also to stop the growth of new ones. With
proactive skin care, one can also stop premature aging of
the skin.

Mainly the skin problems depend upon the skin types. If you
have oily skin, your skin will be more prone to acnes.
Acnes are caused due to comedo, which is a hair follicle
that gets combined with oil, dead skin cells and bacteria,
and results into acnes. Our skin become more prone to acnes
when it gets exposed to pollution and harmful sun rays,
thereby leading to dead cells and accumulation of oil dirt.
Today we see not only women but also men suffering from the
problem of acnes. However, the people who have dry skin are
prone to cracks in their skin.

Whatever may be the skin problem whether related to dry
skin or oily skin, the solution for a healthy and clear
skin comes in the form of proactive skin care tips. These
include following methods:

1) To stop the growth of acne, one must everyday clean his
or her skin with the application of suitable cleanser and
benzoyl peroxide which penetrates into the pores and clean
hair follicles.

2) As much as possible, keep your skin protected from the
ultraviolet rays of the sun. The best alterative to protect
oneself from UV ray is to always apply sunscreen lotion
when you are moving out. You can also carry an umbrella
along that will protect your skin from harmful sun rays.

3) To make your skin healthy and wrinkle free, avoid habits
like smoking that decreases necessary vitamins from our
body like Vitamin A and Vitamin C that are essential for
healthy and glowing skin.

4) Always make use of mild soaps and avoid the usage of
addictives like artificial perfumes and dyes.

5) Do not spend much time in shower as it carries away
essential oils from our body.

6) If you have dry skin, always keep your skin moisturized
so as to keep it away from cracks.

7) Make the use natural or organic products for skin care
as they are 100% safe and do not cause any side effects as
compared to the chemical base products, such as artificial
perfumes, dyes and preservatives.

Needless to say, proactive skin care is an end to all skin
care problems but along with proactive skin care, always
keep check on your diet. Always make fiber rich food part
of your diet that will contribute in making your skin
healthy and clean. Apart from diet, one should always
undertake some kind of physical exercises, which will help
in blood circulation thereby enriching our body with
essential nutrients and oxygen that promotes healthy skin
and keeps it look young and fresh.

The Easy Way To Exercise For Weight Loss

The Easy Way To Exercise For Weight Loss
Do you dread the thought of exercising as much as I do? My
idea of exercise is getting up from my computer to get my
next meal or to watch a little TV. Exercising is considered
one the best ways to burn off excess body fat so there must
be an alternative way to exercise than just hitting the gym
for an hour or doing cardio for 20-30 minute sessions.

Guess What? There is! There's a simple way for even us lazy
creatures to get the health and fat burning benefits from
exercise. The secret lies is knowing several easy but
potent exercises that you can quickly do anywhere and at
anytime without going to the gym or needing any other
special exercise equipment.

It really is possible to get fit and into great shape by
exercising in lazy 30-second intervals throughout the day.
With this lazy method, you won't even feel like you're
doing any exercise, but at the end of the day you will
definitely feel the results and after a few weeks, you will
even start to see the results.

The best times to do your super mini workouts are during
commercials, when you get yourself a cup of coffee, tea,
water, while brushing your teeth, during work breaks and
when you are generally feeling a little tired or bored.
It's a great way to stimulate your body and to give
yourself an extra energy burst. You also don't have to
strain yourself or break a sweat.

You can easily rotate the exercises you do. Any exercise
that uses your own bodyweight are excellent choices. Here
is a small list of exercises that you can start doing:
pushups, situps, squats, jumping jacks, chinups, broad
jumps or hopping with both legs. My favorite two are squats
and pushups. Squatting daily keeps gives me lots of running
stamina and speed and gives me a toned lower body and the
pushups give me a sculpted and toned upper body.

If you enjoy watching TV at night like most people, imagine
how fit you could get by doing 30-second intervals during
all the commercial breaks. You will burn more calories,
increase your energy levels and keep your metabolism
sky-high which is important when trying to lose weight or
dieting. It's also the perfect compliment to any dieting
program you may choose to follow.

This is how I usually workout when I'm just too lazy to do
a normal 30 minute plus workout. Even while writing this
article I took an exercise break and performed 10 pushups
and now I feel great.

Diet, Sunlight and Osteoporosis

Diet, Sunlight and Osteoporosis
The term osteoporosis refers to the unfortunately very
common condition by which bones become de-mineralised and
reduced in strength. Also sometimes known as "brittle
bones", it is particularly common in the elderly population
and a well established contributory factor in the
fractures, especially following falls, which are a
tragically frequent occurrence during this time of life.

Although the symptoms and consequences of osteoporosis are
at their most readily apparent during old age, it is a
condition which may develop throughout life. But although
some of principal risk indicators for the development of
osteoporosis, such as the ageing process itself, cannot be
avoided, the good news is that a little attention to diet
and nutrition, particularly the intake of calcium and
vitamin D, will go a long way towards delaying or even
avoiding the onset of this dangerous condition altogether.
And because the bones' nutritional demands are their
greatest during their growth phase, this attention cannot
begin too early in life.

The human body stores and requires more calcium than any
other mineral, and most of this is in the bones. Not
surprisingly, then, an adequate intake of dietary calcium
is essential for bone health, and a deficiency one of the
principal risk factors for osteoporosis. But although
essential, a good intake of calcium is not enough on its
own. Dietary calcium is relatively easy to obtain through
milk, other dairy produce and green vegetables, but even
lavish supplies cannot be absorbed without sufficient
vitamin D, and as many as 80% of sufferers from fractures
attributed to osteoporosis have been found to be deficient
in this vitamin.

Unfortunately vitamin D is less easily obtainable through
commonly consumed foods but a potentially, though not
necessarily easily, modifiable "lifestyle choice" which may
have a dramatic effect on levels of vitamin D in the body
is the amount of sunlight to which the skin is exposed.
For years medical orthodoxy was inclined to rely on the
fact that vitamin D can be synthesised within the body on
exposure to sunlight as evidence for the relatively low
significance of dietary intake. And there may even have
been some force in this idea in those far away days when a
significant proportion of the population worked in outdoor
occupations and children were accustomed to outdoor play
rather than TV, computer and video games.

But nowadays most people not only work indoors but are
strongly advised to cover themselves liberally with
sunblock on the rare occasions when they do expose
themselves to any natural sunlight. For those of us living
more than about 37 degrees north or south of the Equator,
where sunlight is in any case in very short supply for six
months of the year, this combination of circumstance makes
it doubtful that we will be able to obtain a sufficient
supply of vitamin D from sunlight. And this concern is
even more marked for the elderly, as the body's ability to
synthesise vitamin D from sunlight reduces with advancing
years.

Moreover, it is unfortunately not particularly easy to
obtain a good supply of vitamin D from a conventional
Western diet; oily fish, liver, eggs and certain cereals
being the most reliable, if unpalatable, sources. And
contrary to popular belief, dairy produce in itself is not
an especially rich source unless specifically enriched with
the vitamin.

But even when vitamin D rich foods are regularly consumed,
there are still other risk factors for osteoporosis which
need to be considered when considering the adequacy of
vitamin D and calcium intakes. Smoking and the immoderate
consumption of alcohol are perhaps amongst the more readily
avoidable of these. Less obvious, but perhaps at least as
important, is the need for physical activity, and in
particular load bearing exercise or strength training.

Low secretions of the main sex hormones, testosterone in
men and oestrogen in women, are also important precursors
of osteoporosis. Declining levels of these hormones with
advancing age is one reason why older people are much more
prone to this condition, a problem which is particularly
marked for women, given the dramatic drop in oestrogen
levels which follows the menopause.

But perhaps most important is the fact that the typical
modern Western diet, with its heavy reliance on processed
foods, is known to result in a high intake of sodium,
which, as well as being a cause of high blood pressure,
also increases the urinary excretion of calcium and other
vital minerals with corresponding adverse consequences for
bone density. The simplest and best solution to this
problem, of course, is the consumption of a diet rich in
fresh fruit and vegetables, rather than highly processed
foods, which will in itself ensure a reduction in sodium
consumption and an increase in potassium and other
minerals, ensuring the maintenance of a healthy balance.

To ensure adequate good intakes of both vitamin D and
calcium, however, it appears in the light of all of the
above to be wise to take advantage of a comprehensive
multi-vitamin and multi-mineral supplement.

Jumping Rope For Fat Loss In Your Boxing Training Workouts.

Jumping Rope For Fat Loss In Your Boxing Training Workouts.
So what is this forgotten training tool your asking? It's
called the jump rope. People seem to neglect this tool BIG
time in their training. Boxers have been using it for many
years in their boxing training workouts to shred the fat
from their bodies in a hurry. Now you can to.

Why do so many people neglect the jump rope? I feel people
really don't want to look foolish using this wonderful
training tool. Jumping rope takes coordination to use. Many
people lack seem to lack coordination. When people begin
jumping rope they tend to get frustrated as the rope gets
tangled in their feet. I say if you can't, you must! and
you will start to build a beautiful rhythm if you stay with
it. That's the great benefit of using this tool. Your
conditioning improves, you burn lots of fat, and your
coordination improves like never before. Like the saying
goes, Nothing great in life comes easy!

Here is a sample jump rope workout you can use to get
started.

Getting Started

You can start out using one or two minute rounds. This will
all depend on your current condition. If you're out of
shape start with one minute rounds. If you are semi fit,
use two minute rounds. Rest one minute between rounds. Keep
a nice constant brisk pace going. Try performing 2-4
rounds. Again, this all depends on your current condition.

While you're jumping rope, you want to jump close to the
ground. Jumping to high will beat up your joints. Just stay
relaxed and build a nice rhythm.

Mixing it up

You can mix up the workout by shuffling your feet while
jumping. Just shuffle your feet front to back while
jumping. Be patient, as this takes a lot of coordination to
do.

Putting it to use

If you can stick with the above guidelines, I guarantee
that you will see your waist line shrink. You will gain
confidence, along with improved coordination. Try getting
this from a stationary bike, stair climber, or elliptical!
I can't emphasize enough, on why this workout makes so much
sense to perform! Along with the low cost of the jump rope,
it takes little space to perform. You get a great workout
in less time. If you do it at home you also save on drive
time to the gym.

This is even more reason to go get started!
