3 Things You Must know about How Hypnotherapy works before you try it!
Firstly, it is essential to know that everyone has
experienced the state of hypnosis. For example, when you
are absorbed in reading a book and are oblivious to your
surroundings, or when you are driving home and realise that
you are on automatic, that you are thinking about something
else while driving. This daydream state is very much like
the state of hypnosis that a therapist helps you achieve.

Just before you fall asleep, (that state between sleep and
being awake) and again in the morning when you first wake
up, you are in that daydream state. This is the state when
your critical faculty steps aside and your subconscious
mind comes forward. It is the subconscious that holds the
key to change of habits and reinforcement of positive
enhancements.By listening to the hypnotherapist's voice,and
his directions the client enters a state of relaxed
awareness.

Secondly, all hypnosis is self hypnosis.Contrary to the
myths that surround the subject, nobody can make us do
anything we don't want to do. If we refuse to cooperate,
then no one can guide us to the state of hypnosis. The
hypnotherapist will talk with you prior to the session,
about your goal and reason for coming to see him. Together
you will decide on precisely what you are looking to
achieve or heal. The Hypnotherapist is merely a kind of
facilitator between yourself and your subconscious.The
client is always in control. If for any reason he decides
not to cooperate by opening his eyes or not following the
suggestions of the hypnotherapist, the session will simply
not be effective.

Thirdly, hypnotherapy is NOT to be confused with stage
hypnosis.Hypnotherapy is hypnosis with therapy. Many people
have seen stage shows or TV hynosis programmes that have
participants doing crazy things. What the public do not see
is how the hypnotist, qualifies people before allowing them
on the stage. Whilst everyone can be hypnotised apart from
the mentally subnormal, young children and epileptics,
there is a tiny percentage of the population who are very
highly suggestible to hypnosis. Before the show, the
hypnotist watches potential participants carefully and runs
them through a series of exercises to ascertain which ones
are more suggestible. You can be assured that those
participants who 'dance like Michael Jackson' or cluck like
hens, are perfectly aware of what they are doing.

The work of a hypnotherapist is a far cry from the
entertainment value of the hypnotist. All genuine
hypnotherapists belong to an association that has a strict
code of practice. Should the hypnotherapist break this
code, he is likely to face dismissal. His work has
everything to do with healing and helping the client reach
her/his goals.

If you're suffering right now I urge to you look for what
you could get out of this situation. You rediscover
reading, self help books are so inspiring, getting back
with nature would help a sensitive person to ground
themselves again. Could you use this opportunity to
retrain or somehow find a way of helping other sensitive
people? You need to allow yourself time to recover and
your energy can only pick up if you've allowed yourself
some time away from the noise, people, pollutants, demands
etc. Just because the majority of the population cope with
these without a problem doesn't mean that you're odd.
You're not odd ' you're special.

So go forward and nurture your sensitive side. It took me
years to build myself back up again and I wish I had
understood all about sensitive people at the time. Don't
dismiss what I've told you as unbelievable and impossible.

BBQ Foods: What a perfect way to enjoy a beautiful spring
day with a BBQ! Sure grilling meats is healthier than
giving them a dip in a crap load of oil but depending on
what you grill your waistline can still take a beating.

Indeed you have your typical things like burgers, hot dogs,
ribs and giant steaks, but enjoying these foods will just
add more to your fat count. Try to BBQ things like fish,
lean meats (poultry), vegetables or fruits. There's less

Rich Dressings and Sauces and Toppings: What could be more
tempting than a bowl of strawberries smothered in whip
cream, or topping off your hot dog with ketchup, mustard
and the ever so fattening mayonnaise. Yep, you can easily
make a "healthy" food into a crazy calorie monster if
you're not careful.

The key here is to choose lighter sauces and dressings, and
if you really want some of those rich sauces, just take a
dab.

Iced Beverages: What I mean by "Iced Beverages" are things
like iced cappuccinos, iced coffee, rich smoothies,
milkshakes, and tropical mixes. You don't feel it, but
liquid calories do add up pretty quickly. Having just 2
iced beverages in one day can increase your caloric intake
by 200-500 calories! Yikes!

Creamy Salads: Every time I'm invited to a potluck lunch
or dinner there's always that one person who ends up
brining some sort of pasta salad tossed with some
vegetables and mayonnaise. And hey who could blame em' its
easy to make and doesn't take much time to prepare.
However, it doesn't matter if it's a potato salad or
chicken salad the point is…it's drowning in mayonnaise and
fat that you should definitely stay away from!

Solution? Keep it simple with a mixed greens salad, its
healthier, fresh and guess what…no fat!

Mothers Day Chocolates: You survived Easter, but can you
survive Mothers Day? Yes it's true that dark chocolate
holds some benefits but only in small proportions. Instead
of chocolates and the hidden fat and sugar, give fruit
salads or a gift basket of vegetable seeds, so the person
you love can plant their own vegetables - it'll keep them
healthy and save money at the same time. And if you're a
mother yourself, drop hints for some healthy cookbooks, or
new workout attire.

Brunch: Augh! I cringe when I hear this word. Why?
Because, if you're not careful, brunch can literally
destroy all your hard fitness, and weight loss efforts.
Restaurants usually serve breakfast casseroles or quiches
packed with cheese, sausages, butter, cream and cheese that
are served with buns, cinnamon rolls, and pastries.

If you're going out for brunch here's a fat saving tip for
you: Keep it simple.

Go for some eggs, whole grain slices of bread with maybe
some jam, and fruit - simple, delicious and nutritious.

Desserts: Oh yes…I saved the best for last. Desserts.
With the warm weather it's easy to cool off with ice cream,
ice cream cakes or things like "Blizzards" or "Mcflurries"
where the ice cream is mixed with toppings like, Oreos,
Smarties, Coffee Crisps and pretty much any other kind of
chocolate bar you can think of.

But to be honest this is a pretty easy habit to cut out.
Simply replace your ice cream craving with, frozen yogurt
topped off with fresh fruit or sorbet. They're equally
refreshing and will cool you down with out the added
calories.

Sterilizer Monitoring In the Dental Office
In 2003, the Centers for Disease Control issued Guidelines
for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings.The
guidelines are intended to educate dental personnel
regarding infection control and to prevent the transmission
of bloodborne pathogens.

This comprehensive document covers: hand hygiene, personal
protective equipment, contact dermatitis/latex allergy,
disinfection/sterilization, environmental infection
control, waterlines/biofilms and special dental
considerations such as hand pieces, radiographs and
laboratory procedures.

The CDC's Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental
Settings are evidenced based and well documented. One of
the areas that must be emphasized in dental offices is
sterilization of dental instruments. Along with the proper
sterilization of instruments and materials, sterilizer
monitoring is an essential part of the infection control
program.

Many factors can cause sterilization to fail--from
procedural errors that are easily remedied, like
overloading, to mechanical problems that can take a
sterilizer out of service until repairs can be made. Since
this variety of factors can influence successful
sterilization, the CDC and the American Dental Association
encourage dentists to regularly assess the efficiency of
their in-office sterilizers.

Sterilization should be monitored using both chemical and
biological indicators. Chemical indicators, such as
indicator tapes, are to be used with each instrument load.
These indicators change color after exposure to the proper
sterilization environment.

Failure of the indicator to change color indicates that it
was not exposed to the proper sterilization environment
(e.g., proper pressure or temperature). In such cases, the
instrument load should be re-sterilized. Indicator tapes
are sterilizer-specific (i.e., tapes for steam sterilizers
cannot be used to test chemical vapor sterilizers).
Chemical indicators should not replace biological
indicators, as only a biological indicator consisting of
bacterial endospores can measure the microbial killing
power of the sterilization process.

The CDC and ADA both recommend that sterilizers be
monitored at least weekly with biological indicators. Each
state dental board may actually have a requirement for
biological monitoring.

Biological monitoring can be done in two ways. In-office
incubator and spore monitoring strips can be purchased from
dental supply houses. This method usually gives results in
24-48 hours. Mail-in spore monitoring programs are also
available. This process usually takes a week. Although it
takes longer to get results, mail-in monitoring programs
may be more reliable and credible than in-house monitoring.
A log of spore test results should be maintained in the
dental office, usually in the sterilization area.

A positive test using chemical or biological indicators
signifies that sterilization failed. If the chemical
indicator does not change color or the spore test result is
positive, the following steps are recommended. The
sterilizer should be taken out of service. Instruments that
were used after the last documented negative spore test
should not be used. The sterilization process being
followed in the office should be reviewed to rule out
operator error as the cause of failure.

Any identified procedural problems should be corrected, and
the sterilizer retested using mechanical, chemical and
biological indicators. If the repeat biological indicator
test is negative and the other test results fall within
normal limits, the sterilizer can be returned to service.
If the biological indicator test is positive, or the
chemical test results indicate failure, the sterilizer
should not be used until the reason for failure has been
identified and corrected. The dental repair company should
be contacted for a service call and possible loan of an
interim sterilizer.

Before the sterilizer can be returned to service, negative
results should be returned for biological indicator tests
conducted during three consecutive empty-chamber
sterilization cycles to ensure that the problem has been
corrected.

Fitness Without Equipment
In this day and age most of us who want to get fitter,
stronger, or lose weight know that in order to achieve our
goals we must participate in some type of exercise program.
One of the problems is that of choosing what sort of
fitness equipment we should be using or buying. There are a
number of choices on the market today, including elliptical
trainers, rowing machines, exercise bicycles, steppers,
weight machines, free weights, cable machines, and so on.

Now you have two choices when it comes to using fitness
equipment. First is to purchase a piece of equipment,
depending on the quality of what you want, buying can be
pretty expensive. The second choice is to become a gym
member. This will give you a wider of choice in the types
of fitness equipment you can use, but even this option can
be expensive.

Now there can be many reasons that could make it difficult
for you to take advantage of either choice. Perhaps you are
in a position in your life at the moment where you cannot
afford to purchase any fitness equipment or afford to join
a gym. You may not have any space at home to use any
fitness equipment, or have the time to travel to a gym 3 or
4 times a week. You may feel uncomfortable or not have the
confidence at the present time to join a gym. All these
reasons will result in one thing, and that is not
exercising, and not achieving the vision you may have of
yourself for the future.

Now I am going to be brutally honest with you. All those
reasons are just excuses not to exercise. You justify not
exercising with these excuses and this makes you feel that
there is some substance behind why you cannot exercise. The
fact is that there is no substance behind these excuses,
because when you focus on why you can't do something your
mind will come up with lots of reasons for that point of
focus. However if you focus on a regular basis on why you
should exercise, your mind will come up with reasons and
ways for that as well. You can reach extreme levels of
fitness without equipment.

The truth is that we associate great bodies with fitness
equipment and we have the perception that fitness without
any equipment is not something that can be achieved
successfully. This is a million miles away from the truth.
You don't need any fitness equipment to become fitter,
stronger, or slimmer. Your own body is one of the best
pieces of fitness equipment that you have. You can reach
extremely high levels of fitness using nothing but your
body.

Take a look at the sport of boxing. It is only over the
last few years that boxers have started using weights or
weight machines to train. A few years ago 99% of their
training consisted of using their own body for their
training. Boxers would get up in the early hours and run
the streets, not use a treadmill at lunch time. They would
spend many hours a week doing push ups, sit ups, chin ups,
stretching, shadow boxing, and a whole host of other body
weight exercises. Boxers are warriors and they reach
warrior status without any equipment. Boxers have the
fittest and most durable physiques in sport.

To become a soldier is no mean feat, the training is
extremely tough. The bulk of a soldiers training consists
of exercising without equipment. They spend hours running
over rough terrain carrying equipment and heavy backpacks.
They spend months doing circuit training consisting of
swimming, push ups, chin ups, sit ups, and various other
exercises. Nobody can say that a soldier is not an
extremely fit individual.

There is a huge choice of exercises you can use, where your
body is the only piece of equipment you will need.
Depending on the method of training you use, just 15
minutes a day will give you fitness levels far beyond what
you have at the moment. Pick a set of exercises that hit
different body parts and make a circuit out of them.
Circuit training will improve your strength, fitness, and
endurance. Pick your own circuit or use the one below

Free squats (30 seconds) Rest (20 seconds) Push ups (30
seconds) Rest (20seconds) Crunches (30 seconds) Rest (20
seconds) Squat thrusts (30 seconds)

This circuit last just 3 minutes and it will work your body
hard. Do as many actions of each exercise in a 30 second
period and do not have any more than 20 seconds rest. Try
it once and see how you feel. Call this one circuit, and
when your fitness improves do another circuit later in the
day. There really is no limit to how far you can go on this
circuit, the fitter you get the more circuits you keep
adding. Just try one to begin with to get used to it and
think on that one circuit is just 3 minutes out of your
whole day. 3 minutes is not a lot compared to the benefits
you will get from that time. Now you know that you are
capable of reaching a high level of fitness without
equipment.
